Question: How long have you worked in Lansing USD469?
Answer: 2 months
Question: Can you tell us a bit about yourself and the role you have within the school district?
Answer: I am a registered nurse dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of the high school students and staff.
Question: What do you enjoy most about your role and the work you do in the school district?
Answer: As a school nurse, I love being part of a team fully dedicated to helping students thrive with the ultimate goals of navigating the transition to adulthood and becoming responsible citizens.
Question: When you're not working, what hobbies or activities do you enjoy?
Answer: I am most happy with my family and our dog. That could be enjoying a walk, eating dinner together, or having our Friday night movie night.
Question: What is something unusual about you that most people don't know?
Answer: I met my husband on an Army deployment to Iraq.
Question: Could you share a particularly heartwarming or memorable experience you've had while working with students or colleagues?
Answer: While I don't have a specific moment to share, I have felt welcomed, supported, and appreciated since I arrived.
Question: What piece of advice would you like to offer to students to help them succeed and make the most of their educational journey?
Answer: High school is just one chapter- with ups, downs, and so much growth along the way. Whatever challenges you’re facing are temporary. Through it all, know that you matter, you belong, and you are loved.
