Lansing High School seniors, the opportunity to apply for the Lansing Kansas Scholarship Fund is here! Since its establishment in April 1987, the Lansing Kansas Scholarship Fund, Inc. has provided vital support to countless graduating seniors in pursuit of higher education.
The fund began with two scholarships, honoring Frank R. Graham and Irene Johnsmeyer, and stands as a lasting legacy of Earl and Irene Johnsmeyer. Earl, a former counselor and coach, and Irene, a teacher at Lansing High School, were dedicated to the Lansing school community. Their commitment to education has inspired several additional memorial scholarships over the years.
New for the Class of 2026:
Thanks to the generosity of the McQuillan family, the Virginia McQuillan Memorial Scholarship has been added and will now be available to applicants beginning with the Class of 2026!
Managed by a Board of Directors, the fund has grown significantly, assisting hundreds of Lansing High School graduates in covering higher education costs. Community members are encouraged to contribute, as donations are tax-deductible and directly support our seniors’ futures.
The Lansing Kansas Scholarship Fund, Inc. operates as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, ensuring that the generosity of our community lives on through these annual scholarships.
