Leaders from schools, businesses, government, and higher education across Leavenworth County recently came together at Lansing High School with one shared goal: connecting students with real-world career opportunities.
Through apprenticeships and work-based learning, Lansing students can graduate not only with a diploma, but also with valuable skills, experiences, and professional connections that set them up for lifelong success.
The Bridge to Success: Apprenticeship Summit featured two keynote speakers:
Makayla Hagenhoff, Apprenticeship Manager with Workforce Partnership
Taylor Spangler, Program Manager for the Office of Registered Apprenticeships
Both shared powerful insights on how programs, funding, and partnerships can open doors for students while also helping local businesses overcome barriers to hiring.
At Lansing High School, students have access to a variety of opportunities that count as Post-Secondary Assets for graduation, including:
Youth Apprenticeships
Client-Centered Projects
Workplace Learning Experiences
Industry-Recognized Certifications
These programs ensure that Lansing Lions are ready to succeed after high school, whether they choose college, a career, or both.
If your business or organization would like to partner with Lansing High School and play a role in shaping the future workforce, we’d love to hear from you (913-727-3357)!
