Question: How long have you worked in Lansing USD469?
Answer: I have worked at Lansing Elementary School since July 31, 2025.
Question: Can you tell us a bit about yourself and the role you have within the school district?
Answer: It has been a great experience working in Mrs. Kannaday’s class. She is a phenomenal teacher. I believe that everything you learn in life, you learn in Kindergarten. The life skills that kiddos need - such as sharing, cooperation, resolving differences, and learning to say you are sorry - as well as a strong curriculum, are the message she communicates each day. I am there to help in any way that I can with the kiddos and class projects.
It’s a fast paced environment and you have to be ready for whatever comes your way. I was guilty of always saying that recess was my favorite part of school. Every recess, you will spot me on the run back and forth behind the swing set trying to keep all the kiddos in the air.
I am married and have a son, daughter, granddaughter (in Springhill Kindergarten) and a new baby grandson. Our favorite vacation spot is Lido Beach in Sarasota, FL. My faith has carried me through the best of times and the most challenging.
Question: What do you enjoy most about your role and the work you do in the school district?
Answer: The school is filled with a kind and caring staff that has a passion for the kiddos who walk through the doors each day. I love helping the kiddos and I learn something new each day.
