Students playing dodgeball

On Friday, August 15, Lansing Intermediate students participated in a school-wide assembly that featured a spoon balance challenge followed by a dodgeball tournament.

The dodgeball tournament champions earned the chance to face off against staff members in the ultimate match-up. Students brought their best effort, but in the end, the staff came out on top!

Principal Martin Altieri shared his thoughts on the importance of these events, saying, “Lansing Intermediate has high expectations for our students and staff. We firmly believe in balancing academics, social growth, and building resilience and grit, while providing fun activities and events. All-school assemblies were brought back at the end of the 22-23 school year and have been extremely well-received. Our staff members want students to have fond memories of their years at LIS – two years goes so fast!”
