The 2025-26 school year is off to a fantastic start in the Lansing School District! Our kindergarten through sixth grade students, along with all new-to-the-district middle and high school students, began their first day of classes on Wednesday, August 13. Returning middle and high school students joined them the following day, Thursday, August 14.
This staggered schedule gave new middle and high school students an opportunity to get comfortable with their building layout, procedures, and class schedules before the full student body arrived. The extra day allowed for a smoother transition and helped set the stage for a successful year ahead.
The first few days were filled with excitement and connection as students attended assemblies, pep rallies, and meet-and-greet activities.
Lansing USD469 is excited to welcome our PreK/ Early Childhood students on Monday, August 18th.
