Kevin Gardner

The Lansing School District is proud to recognize Kevin Gardner, one of our bus drivers whose support for students extends far beyond the bus route.

At the August Board of Education meeting, Mr. Gardner was recognized for the countless ways he encourages and uplifts Lansing students - not just during their ride to and from school, but throughout their activities, athletics, and milestones.

Mr. Gardner was nominated by a Lansing teacher who shared heartfelt words about his positive influence:

“Kevin is one of the most kind and supportive staff members we have, and he makes a point to encourage and recognize all students and athletes! He is always welcoming kids and coaches on the bus before games and after. He supports them during the games and often goes into the gym or track to cheer the Lansing kids on to victory. He even remembers students from past years after they graduate and always asks about them. He genuinely supports our students, and our kids just love him as our bus driver and supporter!”

This nomination captures exactly why Mr. Gardner’s presence in our district is so special. He isn’t just transporting students, he’s building connections, cheering them on, and showing them they matter. Whether it’s a quick greeting before a game or celebrating their victories from the stands, Mr. Gardner’s support makes students feel welcome, valued, and remembered.

Mr. Gardner’s example reminds us that every role in our district is essential in creating a positive and supportive school culture. His encouragement, enthusiasm, and genuine interest in our students’ success embody the heart of the Lansing community.

On behalf of the Lansing School District, we extend our sincere thanks to Mr. Gardner for going above and beyond in his work and for representing our district with such care and pride.

Congratulations, Mr. Gardner, on this well-deserved recognition!
