With summer break underway and kids spending more unsupervised time online, the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) has released a new episode of its Insight Podcast focused on online safety for children.
In this episode, KSDE Commissioner Dr. Randy Watson is joined by:
John Calvert, KSDE’s head school safety specialist
Representatives from the Kansas Attorney General’s Office
Experts from the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI)
They share practical advice and critical insights to help parents and guardians understand online risks and take action to protect their children.
“This is information every parent needs right now,” says KSDE. “It’s especially important during the summer when students may be spending more time online without adult supervision.”
