We are excited to share that Kansas’s Sunflower Summer Program is back for 2025—bringing families across the state another season of fun, free, and educational summer experiences!

Sunflower Summer provides Kansas families with K-12 students a unique opportunity to explore museums, zoos, historical sites, outdoor adventures, and other attractions—at no cost. Funded by the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE), this initiative encourages families to learn and make memories together all summer long.

Program Highlights:

  • Free admission to attractions statewide

  • Open to Kansas families with school-age children (PreK-12).

  • Runs from Saturday, July 12 – Sunday, August 3

  • Easy access through the Sunflower Summer mobile app.

How to Get Started:

  1. Visit sunflowersummer.org to view participating venues.

  2. Download the Sunflower Summer app from the App Store or Google Play.

  3. Register your family and plan your summer of adventure!

This is a great opportunity for fun and learning—all while exploring the rich culture and natural beauty of our state. Whether it’s your first time or a yearly tradition, Sunflower Summer is a perfect way to make Kansas your classroom this summer!
