LHS Choir Students

The Lansing High School Men's Chorus performed "God Bless America" prior to the NASCAR race at Kansas Speedway on May 11th, 2025, continuing the LHS Choirs' partnership with NASCAR from the previous two Fall races.

This group was formed this past semester as a group of over 25 young men were interesting in singing together in a choir together consisting of tenor and bass voices. To bring this to fruition, they found a common time to sing together before school and during collaboration times during CCR period.

"The birth and growth of Men's Chorus the last few months was monumental, starting with making the most of our limited practice time to ending the year performing at a grand stage at NASCAR. The magnitude of Men's Chorus ability to perform and produce at the highest level is a testament to the Lansing High School choral department in all its harmony," says recent graduate Ayden Ellington, who will major in Music Education at Missouri Valley College.

Fellow graduate Jonathan Duncan adds "Singing with this group of boys that I grew up with was tremendous! To make music together and then share it at an event as profound as a NASCAR race was the perfect way to end my high school career."

Thank you to these students for representing Lansing!
