We are proud to announce that singers from the LHS Choirs had another record-setting showing at the KSHSAA State Music Solo & Small Ensemble Festival with a school record of 19 "I" - Outstanding ratings earned from 22 qualifying performances (previous high mark was 11)! These singers prepared and performed two pieces for a judge and were provided feedback on an 80-point rubric. The LHS Choirs' 22 entrants was also a new standard of qualifying students, with all of them earning a rating of "I" - Outstanding or "II" - Excellent.
"These results are the culmination of work ethic being combined with talent in order to produce an exemplary product. Our students have shown that potential can be realized through intentional practice and a growth mindset," says LHS Choirs director, Brian J. White. "I could not be prouder of them. They are ideal representatives for our community."
