Leesa White and Superintendent

At the May Board of Education meeting, the Lansing School District recognized Mrs. Leesa White, Kindergarten Interrelated Teacher at Lansing Elementary School, for her outstanding service and impact across the building.

Described by colleagues as someone who "goes above and beyond to help students grow in reading, math, and social skills," Mrs. White is a pillar of support not only for her students, but also for staff across all grade levels. She actively mentors new employees, supports paraprofessionals and fellow teachers, and serves on multiple school committees—all while remaining deeply committed to student success.

One nominator shared that a substitute teacher even nicknamed her classroom “The Hospitality Room of LES” for the comfort and assistance she provides to everyone who walks through her door.

We are grateful for Mrs. White’s leadership, compassion, and dedication. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!
