Question: What is your current job title, and where do you work?

Answer: Lansing Elementary School First-Grade Teacher

Question: What is your educational background (Colleges, CTE, trade, etc) after Lansing?

Answer: Bachelors from University of Saint Mary, pursuing Masters of Leadership

Question: What are some career highlights or personal achievements you would like to share?

Answer: I taught Special Education and General Education before making my way back to Lansing. Influencing students and our community is what I've looked forward to since finishing school.

Question: How did your education in our school district influence your career or personal growth?

Answer: I had several teachers through my time at Lansing (some still teaching!) that I look back on and remember how they impacted me personally and academically, even when I wasn't a great student. I didn't have a traditional childhood or home life, but these teachers still helped me succeed, and if I can do that for even 1 person, that's worth it.

Question: Do you have any fond memories or stories from your time at our school district that you’d like to share?

Answer: I have plenty of fond memories. Going out for 7th grade volleyball, and serving every point to win the game, high school marching band when we all loaded up on to busses and went to Chicago, then when we marched in Dallas and went to six flags, and so many Friday nights in the bleachers at a football game.

Question: What advice would you give to current students who are preparing for their future?

Answer: Even when it seems hard, and you have no idea what you want to do when you grow up, you will figure it out. So if it feels pointless, don't give up, because someday you will be glad that you enjoyed your time and were able to graduate and say "I did it."
