Lansing National Honor Society students hold blood drive at Lansing High School
Lansing High School's National Honor Society (NHS) students brought in the American Red Cross to hold their annual blood drive on Tuesday, November 12th in the wrestling room at Lansing High School. The event was led by senior Jill Carlson and was a tremendous success. "There is was a lot of planning that goes into the blood drive. We had approximately fourteen student volunteers working on it."
Mrs. Ellen Bruggeman, the NHS sponsor, was extremely happy with how the event turned out. "We registered 61 students yesterday, with 37 of them being first time donors (which is awesome). We collected 54 pints of blood which will provide 154 blood transfusions. It was a great day to be a lion!"
