Welcome to the 2021 Lansing School District Virtual Art Showcase!
Lansing USD 469 is excited to virtually showcase artwork from across our district! A huge thank you to our art teachers Ms. Dawn Blankartz, Ms. Jackie Delgado, Ms. Emily Bucher, Ms. Tracy Schmidt, and Mr. Russell Buchanan who have collected artwork throughout the school year and photographed the pieces to be displayed virtually.
This is the seventh year for the district to showcase the work of our incredible student artists, and the second year it has been virtual. The art showcase is organized by Lansing Educational Foundation (LEF) and normally takes place at Lansing High School to display the art and in hopes of raising money for the art departments in the Lansing School District. The Annual Lansing District Art Showcase is normally held in April and Lansing Educational Foundation traditionally raises several hundred dollars that go directly to the art teachers to use in their classrooms.
"This is one of my favorite Lansing Educational Foundation events, especially since 100% of the money raised goes directly back to the art classrooms," said LEF Director, Sharon Burns. "We are looking forward to holding it in the Lansing High School commons again next year."
