Lansing High School Has 22 Singers Selected to the Northeast Kansas District Choir!
Lansing USD469 is thrilled to announce that our Lansing High School Choir students recently set a school record of 22 singers selected to the Northeast Kansas District Choir! The students auditioned portions of two songs for a panel of judges in addition to completing a sight-singing audition, competing for spots in the choir among 40 other high schools in the NE Kansas district.
"I am proud of the work our students put forth on this audition," said Choir Teacher Brian White. "To see so many students come in to work on their craft during times it wasn't required was a joy. The collective mindset of the singers and culture in our classroom pushed them to work together in order to achieve at an exemplary level."
These results top the previous record of 21 set last year. In the last four years, 75 Lansing HS singers have earned a selection to the Northeast Kansas District Choir. Congratulations to the following singers:
