Painting a Path to Success: Lansing Middle School Site Council's "Paint the Paws" Project
On the morning of April 29th, the Lansing Middle School Site Council revived its "Paint the Paws" project. The Lansing Middle School Site Council sets goals and initiatives each year, and this was one of this year's goals. "Paint the Paws" was introduced in 2019 to revamp the paws leading to Lansing Middle School and create a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. It has been chaired by Kathy Baughman, a 6th-grade teacher at LMS, ever since. Although the site council painted the paws leading to Lansing Middle School in the fall of 2019, they had not received a fresh coat of paint until now.
This endeavor was a collaborative effort among students, staff, parents, and Site Council members. The participants included students Kalyssa Callaway, Lillie Denney, Dellaney Manning, Rilynne Manning, Riley Seeler, Anne Vodarick, Claire Vodarick, Alicen Yedlinsky, and Anna Yedlinsky, staff members Ann Andrews, Kathy Baughman (Chair), Nick Flynn, Brooks Jenkins, and Stacey Jenkins, as well as parents and Site Council members Kelly Manning, Patrick Manning, Wendy Vodarick, and Ryan Yedlinsky.
Lansing USD469 is grateful for the efforts of all those involved in the "Paint the Paws" project!
