LIS Wishes our School Community a Restful Winter Break, Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!
LIS School Community,
The first semester is in the books and I am so proud of our students and staff. It's been a (half) year of learning, friendships, and making school a fun place to be! Getting parents more involved in the activities of their children has been a major priority, and will continue to be. We loved having members of our school community in for Popsicles with the Principals/Meet the Teacher Night, Open House, conferences, musical performances, and holiday parties. Thank you supporting education and Lansing Intermediate students!
Our Christmas-themed week just wrapped up and with a lots of festivities, smiles, and laughs. The next couple weeks will be an opportunity for everyone to enjoy family, rest up, take in the holidays, and come back ready to hit the ground running. Please be on the lookout for announcements of upcoming events this winter and spring as we continue to building upon our vision for LIS as a great place for students, staff, and parents!
On a personal note, I feel blessed with the people I am around, and interact with, on a daily basis. Lansing is a great community and sometimes we get wrapped up other details, but at the end of the day, I want students to reflect upon their time at LIS as place they enjoyed coming to school, felt supported and loved by the staff they interacted with, and learned they were capable of doing great things in the future.
Wishing our families a joyous and restful break,
Sincerely,
Martin Altieri
