Lansing Early Childhood Hosts Second Annual On-Site Pumpkin Patch!
Lansing Early Childhood hosted its second annual on-site Pumpkin Patch thanks to the generosity of Lamborn Farms and the Lansing Educational Foundation. Lamborn Farms has provided pumpkins for our Early Childhood students for the past two years. Each child in the early childhood program was able to visit the pumpkin patch and choose a pumpkin to take home. There were a variety of pumpkins in all shapes and sizes. Children were delighted to see their schoolyard dotted with pumpkins. Jessica Garner, a third-year teacher, took the lead to head up this activity for the second year in a row. She reached out to Lamborn Farms, and they happily agreed to provide over 90 pumpkins! Lamborn Farms is a family-owned business located at 25761 151st Street in Leavenworth, Kansas. Mrs. Garner and her husband picked up and delivered all the pumpkins to the Early Childhood building. Jessica is very thankful to the team for being so excited about her vision! Teachers and support staff worked together to decorate and transform the schoolyard into a pumpkin wonderland for the children to explore. All it took was a little work and pumpkin spice!! At the end of the day, the smiles on the children’s faces were what it was all about! Thank you, Jessica Garner, Lamborn Farms, and Lansing Educational Foundation.
