Lansing USD469 Looking for Individuals Interested in Being a Part of Special Education Advisory Council
Lansing USD469 is looking for 12 individuals interested in supporting the improvement of Special Education programming for Lansing USD 469. The Advisory Council will consist of a parent representative and general education staff member from each of the district's schools, special education staff, building administration and special education leadership. The purpose of the Advisory Council is to improve the transparency of Lansing USD 469's Special Education department, create collaboration opportunities, and improve special education programming. If you're interested in joining our SpEd Advisory Council, please email Ascendra Donald, Director of Special Education, at email@example.com. Space is limited.
The first meeting will be held in September. The date and time are TBD.
The regularly scheduled meetings will focus on items that have district-wide implications. The council will not discuss issues pertinent to an individual student. Those issues should be resolved through building administrators or IEP team meetings.
