Lansing USD Welcomes Ascendra Donald as the Director of Special Education Starting July 2022
Lansing USD469 is thrilled to welcome our current Coordinator of Special Education Ascendra Donald as the new Director of Special Education starting in July 2022.
Mrs. Donald started her career as an educator in the Shawnee Mission School District in the Parents as Teachers program. She later moved to Lansing USD 469 as our school psychologist for Early Childhood through 8th grade and served as a school psychologist for four years in the Blue Valley School District's early childhood program.
Mrs. Donald holds a master's degree and an advanced graduate degree in School Psychology from Capella University. Additionally, she has a building leadership endorsement from Fort Hays State University.
Mrs. Donald has developed a passion for helping students with unique learning needs meet their full potential throughout her career. She has served on various leadership teams at the district and building levels and has collaboratively developed systems that improve outcomes for students.
