Mrs. Robinson's Second-Grade Class Participate in Eggsploration Stations
Mrs. Robinson's second-grade class learned all about hard-boiled and uncooked eggs on Wednesday, April 14th, through "Eggsploration Stations" set up in the classroom. Students rotated through learning stations where they explored the properties of eggs. Mrs. Robinson incorporated Math and Science into the activities through measurement (mass, length, volume), observations, estimating, collected/recording data, etc.
Stations included the following:
- Station 1: Obtain the mass of an egg
- Station 2: Find the circumference of an egg
- Station 3: Spinning eggs
- Station 4: Volume of eggs
- Station 5: Dying a hard-boiled egg
- Station 6: Observing and sketching parts of an uncooked egg
- Station 7: Cooking a "bunny in a hole"
Mrs. Robinson was pleased with how the day's activities went:
"The kids did awesome and learned so much with measurement!"
