Lansing High School Students Compete in 58th Annual Topeka Model United Nations Conference
The 58th Annual Topeka Model United Nations Conference was held virtually for the second year in a row. It was held February 23-25, 28, and March 1, 2022. It continues to be a smaller event with approximately 250 students participating.
Students participating this year include Julia Nauman, Houston Crow, Jacob Mitchell, Jack Corrigan, Conor Lessard, Lucien Rader, Austin Davis, Gage Thompson, and Noah Mills. Countries represented include Brazil, United States, Mexico, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Turkey, Iran and Vietnam. Julia Nauman and Houston Crow both served as officers on two councils each. Julia served as President of General Assembly III and Secretary of World Council D. Houston served as Secretary on both General Assembly II and World Council III.
Awards this year: Best Delegate in General Assembly I - Gage Thompson 2nd place and Austin Davis 3rd place. Best High School Country Position Paper - Jacob Mitchell representing Vietnam 1st place.
