Lansing High School Students Compete in KC Academic WorldQuest
In March, seven of our Lansing High School students competed in this year's Kansas City Academic WorldQuest competition and represented our community well. Team 1 included Julia Nauman, Allison Muzzy, Hanaa Everett, and Noah Mills. Team 2 included Jacob Mitchell, James Umbarger, and Matthias Erickson.
Kansas City Academic WorldQuest is sponsored by the International Relations Council (IRC). According to their website, the IRC offers "high school students the chance to showcase their knowledge of world affairs, geography, history, and world events." This year's event had seventeen teams competing.
"Our students prepared for months reading and researching world events and history," said sponsor Julie Hinckley. "I'm very proud of their efforts. It was such a great opportunity to meet other students with the same interests."
