Lansing High School Entrepreneurship students participate in "Market Day" on March 9th
Students in Mrs. Kim Jones's Entrepreneurship class had an opportunity to run their own mini business during "Market Day" on March 9th. The goal of Market Day is for the students to sell a particular food item to their classmates during the high school lunch periods and make as much profit as possible. The class spent several weeks working on the project - a lot of thought went into cost analysis and advertising to keep their costs low and their income high.
Earlier this semester, the class broke out into teams and got to work on researching, strategizing, planning, and developing their business. Students worked with local food establishments to purchase food items to resell to their peers during the lunch periods. Some of the chosen companies were Chick-fil-A, Pizza Hut, Freddy's, Cane's, and Crumbl Cookies.
