LHS National Honor Society (NHS) & National English Honor Society (NEHS) Write Letters and Cards for Health Care Workers
Lansing High School’s National Honor Society (NHS) and National English Honor Society (NEHS) partnered up to write over 50 letters and cards for health care workers.
Hospitals are still struggling with morale, especially almost two years into the pandemic. NEHS believed there was still a need to have another letter drive for health care workers. Inspired by last year and other community efforts to show appreciation for hospital workers, NEHS got to writing.
The 2nd annual letter drive, organized by the National English Honor Society, was held briefly before Parent-Teacher Conferences. Much like last year’s letter drive, students wrote letters including words of appreciation and encouragement. The drive collected over 50 letters within its three days of collection. The letters have been sent out to local hospitals impacted the most by the pandemic.
Thank you to all the students who participated, and even a bigger thank you to the health care workers these are being sent to.
