January is Board of Education Recognition Month! Board Member Spotlight: Jeff Bollin
January is School Board Appreciation Month! Please join us as we show appreciation to our school board members for volunteering their time and advocating on behalf of every child in our community. We will be featuring each school board member on the website throughout the month.
Today's spotlight will be on our board Vice-President, Jeff Bollin.
Mr. Bollin is a newly elected member of the Lansing School Board - his four-year term began during the January 10, 2022 board meeting. He is a lifelong resident of Leavenworth County; however, he and his family just moved into the Lansing School District three years ago. Mr. Bollin's wife, Amber, is a Lansing graduate currently employed at the Lansing District Office. They have two children, both attending Lansing Middle School.
Mr. Bollin graduated from Pleasant Ridge in 2000 and then attended North Central Kansas Technical College (NCKTC), where he graduated in 2001. He has worked in heavy highway construction for the last 20 years as a union operator and the last seven years as a Project Superintendent. He was a member of the Kickapoo Township Volunteer Fire Dept. for 18 years and served as department treasurer for ten years.
"I am serving on the board to make the Lansing students the number one priority, and I want to help make Lansing the district that everyone looks up to."
