Lansing USD 469 Welcomes Dr. Jennifer Kolb as Interim Principal of Lansing Elementary School
The Lansing USD 469 Board of Education accepted the resignation of Lansing Elementary School Principal Dr. Mindy Wells during the board meeting on Monday, November 8th. We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Jennifer Kolb will be filling in as Interim Principal.
Dr. Kolb has served Lansing USD 469 for the past 16 years, starting in 2005 as a 6th grade Science teacher. She has had several incredible accomplishments while working for our district, including traveling to China and Japan with the Kansas Consortium for Teaching about Asia and working in a leadership capacity at both the building and district levels. She also completed her doctoral degree and earned her building leader license. In 2020, Dr. Kolb joined the Elementary School as the Assistant Principal.
Dr. Kolb grew up in a military family in Berlin, Germany and graduated from Central Washington University in Washington state. Her Master's in Human Relations was completed through the University of Oklahoma, and she then earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership. Dr. Kolb is a proud military spouse and has two daughters, who are 4 and 9. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, bike riding, and camping.
"I'm excited to continue working at LES as Interim Principal to ensure the success of our students," said Dr. Kolb. "There are many initiatives I enjoy being a part of, including MTSS and PLCs."
We are thrilled she has taken the lead at Lansing Elementary School and look forward to supporting her administrative efforts with additional district resources as needed to continue the excellent education we provide for our youngest lions.
