Lansing High School students enrolled in Kansas City Kansas Community Center Pioneer Career Center (KCKCC PCC) had a productive week of learning.
Lansing High School junior Charles VanDerWerff learned how to frame a floor from his Construction Instructor, Robert Jenkins.
In the KCKCC PCC HVAC program, Lansing High School senior Andrew Shields learned the importance of recovering refrigerants. In recent years, the government has put restrictions on the production and use of these refrigerants, so now technicians have to be certified by the EPA, and the recovery of refrigerants is a must.
Lansing High School students Liam Zell and Alexander Russell got familiar with bending concepts and techniques. The four most common bends are 90 degree Stub-Up, Back to Back, Offset, and the 3 Point Saddle bends.
