Lansing USD469 Staff Thrilled To Welcome Back Students for the 2021-2022 School Year
Lansing USD469 teachers and staff were excited to welcome students back into their classrooms on Thursday, August 19, 2021. All elementary / intermediate school students and new middle / high school students (including those entering sixth and ninth grades) began on the 19th, with the rest starting Friday, August 20th. This was to allow the new students a chance to get used to their schedules and their new buildings. It was a fun day across our district as everyone was excited to start the new school year and get back into their classrooms.
Lansing Superintendent, Mr. Dan Wessel, started and ended his day helping students at the elementary school and visited each of the schools at least once throughout the day. "The first day of school is full of anticipation and anxiety," said Mr. Wessel. "It was a proud moment to be in the buildings watching staff greet all of the students to make them feel welcome and loved. We are fortunate to have such a kind and caring staff in Lansing USD 469."
