Weekly Update of Lansing High School Students Enrolled in KCKCC Pioneer Classes - Criminal Justice and Culinary
Last week at KCKCC Pioneer Career Center, Lansing High School Student, Anamaria Gonzalez made sandwiches and salads with other Foods I students. She used the Mortar and Pestle method to make chili marinade for their Southwestern Grilled Salmon Sandwich, served with a side salad and fresh ranch dressing. The French bread for the sandwich was made by the Beginning Baking students.
Foods I students also made Reuben sandwiches using their fresh thousand island dressing with a side of German carrot salad.
In the KCKCC Criminal Justice course, Lansing student, Grace Umbarger, conducted mock interrogation interviews to learn how to question victims and suspects. Grace was given a mock stabbing scenario in which a KCKCC Drama Club student acted as a party goer who attended a house party with a big crowd, underage drinking, and loud music. Another male began an argument inside which resulted in some pushing. They then went outside where Alex was stabbed multiple times. Grace's assignment was to interview Alex about the incident.
