Third Grade Remote Learners Have Third Community Helper Guest Speaker
Mrs. Beth Stevenson joined the 3rd grade remote classes on Wednesday, April 7th for the third installment of their Community Helpers series. Beth talked about what it is like to be a clinical social worker in a dialysis center. The students asked her questions about the best and worst parts of her job. Students learned about the function of the kidney and purpose of dialysis. She even created a diagram to show how the dialysis machine works and talked about providing emotional support and financial resources to people who needed a kidney transplant.
There will be several guest speakers during the first two weeks of April, so watch the website for more information!
Thank you to Ms. Eilderts for this article and to Mrs. Beth Stevenson for visiting with our students!
