Lansing High School English 9 Classes Create Shakespearean Museum
Freshmen in Ms. Johnson, Mr. Robinson, and Ms. Twitchell's English 9 classes have spent the last two weeks creating pieces for a Shakespearean Museum that is currently being displayed in the Lansing High School library. Students have been doing research to get familiar with the time period in preparation of reading Romeo and Juliet. According to Ms. Johnson, the teachers wanted to make sure the students knew the background so they could reference back to the exhibits they made as they read the story.
"It also gave them the opportunity to build something, while working on their research skills," said Ms. Johnson. "We had students that struggle in our classes really excel with this project. Overall, the students had fun and were engaged. They loved to see their work on display and to see all the other student's work as well."
