New Procedure for Dropping Off and Picking Up at SpEd Admin Building
Dear Early Childhood Parents/Guardians of Car Riders:
We will be starting the new drop off and pick up procedures tomorrow, Monday, Jan. 11. This is a reminder. Staff have created a short video and a map for you. We will use the same procedure for pick up.
- Pull into the district office parking lot on the west side. Proceed around the south side of the district admin office.
- Go slow. The maintenance building is a working shop.
- Pull in parallel to the sidewalk in front of sped admin and line up behind the car in front of you. (Do not pull into a parking spot.)
- Remain in your vehicle until staff come out to assist. You will need to unload your child on the sidewalk side of the street. We will start unloading at 7:50 am for the morning session or 11:50 am for the afternoon session. Student temperature will be taken at the car and hand sanitizer administered.
- Stay with your car for dismissal at either 11 am or 3 pm.
- We ask that you do not run your cars when parked if at all possible. The fumes are tough for staff and students when exiting the building. The fumes also back up into our district admin offices.
- Please wear your mask when exiting the car.
- Exit the line as soon as your student is done unloading so that the cars behind you may pull up to the sidewalk area as quickly as possible.
Here is the link to the teacher prepared video. Your teacher may have already sent it to you as well.
