Lansing Intermediate School Kindness Club Promotes World Kindness Day!

Janet Farrar, Lansing Intermediate School Social Worker/ Councelor and Kindness Club sponsor said students participated by making posters, wearing shirts with kind messages, and spreading kindness at their school.
World Kindness Day is an international holiday that was formed in 1998. According to the Inspire Kindness website, "World Kindness Day is a global day that promotes the importance of being kind to each other, to yourself, and to the world. This day, celebrated on November 13 of each year, has the purpose is to help everyone understand that compassion for others is what binds us all together. This understanding has the power to bridge the gap between nations."
World Kindness Day is observed across the world in countries such as the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia and the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E).
