A Tremendous Thank You to First United Methodist Church in Leavenworth for Making Generous Donation to Lansing High School
First United Methodist Church Senior Pastor, Dr. David York; Director of Operations, Ed Garven; and Director of Young People Ministries, Kristen Howell visited Lansing High School on Wednesday, September 16th to deliver a $2,500 check to Principal Rob McKim. The money, once approved by the Lansing USD 469 School Board, will go toward purchasing items needed by students for school, especially those things that help keep kids safe during the pandemic.
According to Dr. York, the church had planned several youth mission trips that had to be cancelled due to the pandemic. They generously decided to use those funds to help youth in our community.
"This donation will help us meet student needs as they present themselves throughout the school year," said Principal McKim. "We are grateful to First United Methodist Church of Leavenworth for their continued support of the Lansing High School staff and students."
