Lansing High School HVAC Students at KCKCC Have Been Busy in the Lab this Week!

Lansing High School students Darren Wiseman and Kobi Lawrence are pictured at KCKCC Pioneer Career Center installing gas pipes during their HVAC lab class.Lansing High School students enrolled in HVAC classes through Kansas City Kansas Community College (KCKCC) Pioneer Center have been hard at work locating inoperable valves and replacing them, installing and replacing thermostats, and installing gas pipes. Students enrolled in the HVAC program through KCKCC receive training in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration, as well as silver brazing, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting and sheet metal techniques.
There are currently 19 Lansing High School students enrolled in KCKCC Pioneer Center's TEC classes.
KCKCC Pioneer Career Center offers the following TEC programs to high school students in the area (Leavenworth, Lansing, Tonganoxie, Pleasant Ridge):
- Construction
- Culinary
- Electrical
- HVAC
They also offer CNA, criminal justice classes, cybersecurity, and regular academic classes for high school students.
