Lansing High School Virtual Baccalaureate Ceremony 2020
Congratulations, class of 2020!
This is a special time for you! Ceremonies and celebrations mark those unique times of transition in our lives. They mark something different happening - not just the passage of time, but the inner growth as each new phase of life offers new opportunities and increasing responsibilities. We have a great military presence in our community, and parades, promotions, graduations, moves have influenced many of us over the years. We are unique that way. And, in the midst of a challenging circumstance, you are showing your courage, and you should pause and embrace your individual and collective accomplishments.
Rev. Dr. David York of the First a United Methodist Church of Leavenworth offers a message for LHS Virtual Baccalaureate 2020! A Baccalaureate is a blessing for you, graduates, and a public recognition of you entering a new phase of life. Through specially picked music with lyrics that really speak to all of us, please listen and watch.

Please find here hundreds of images of class of 2020 members over the years to encourage you to consider how far you have come and how much you have grown, and we hope you laugh! Think about it - since kindergarten you have seen the passage of approximately 12 first days of school, Halloweens, Christmas Breaks, Easters, summers . . . you have probably lost most of your teeth and regrown new ones, you now have your driver’s licenses, etc . . . the list goes on. Oh, and check out special messages in this presentation from some wonderful people who have contributed to preparing you for this transition!
A special thank you goes out to Danielle Edwards, Kolton Brown and Alayna Parvin who contributed their musical talents and love to this creation. And a special thank you to Elyse Redwine for contributing her imagination and artwork to draw our beloved Lansing Lion that you will see throughout, and to Steven Shade who helped put it all together.
Blessings to you, class of 2020, you did it! Now live your life & make the world a better place. The world is depending on you.
