Two Lansing Middle School students were recently selected as finalists in the University of Saint Mary's Annual Lincoln Event Art Contest. Rachel Schultz received an award for Best Portrait and Gwynevere Buie received the award for Best Overall. They help make up four finalists selected from more than 100 submissions!
The girls were honored at the University of Saint Mary Lion Event on February 17th in the Xavier Theatre. The event also featured speaker Dr. Gerald R. Butters, Jr. who is a Fulbright scholar whose work focuses on the intersection of race and gender in American popular culture.
Great job, Rachel and Gwynevere!
