Lansing School District if proud to offer a free, state funded preschool program for children who were 4 before August 31st of the current school year to be considered. There are still a few openings remaining; placement is determined by required eligibility criteria. Students attend 5 half-days a week in either an AM (8-11) or PM (12-3)session.

The Lansing Parents as Teachers serves families with children from birth to 72 months, with a home education program and a weekly playgroup. The Parents as Teachers program is free to individuals residing within the Lansing School District. If you have questions, please call 913-297-0880 and leave a message. A PAT Facilitator will return your phone call within 24 hours. The program may have a waitlist.

If you attend a church or a community group in Lansing where there are families with small children, and they allow flyers to be placed on the premises, please contact Ascendra Donald at 913-727-1755 or ascendra.donald@usd469.net, so that we may advertise there. The Lansing early childhood program serves and supports families with small children to develop kindergarten readiness skills. Help us spread the word about all of the wonderful early childhood programs Lansing has to offer! Residence within Lansing school district boundaries is required for attendance in all early childhood programs.
