Lansing High School senior, Samantha Moburg, leads service project for Leavenworth County Humane Society
On January 25th, the Lansing High School Kansas Association For Youth (KAYS) participated in a fun service project with the Leavenworth County Humane Society. The project had been planned weeks in advance by Lansing High School senior, Samantha Moburg. Samantha and her fellow KAYS members spent the afternoon at the humane society completing various tasks for the building. Some of these tasks included painting walls within the building, staining the wooden frames around the doors inside, scrubbing the floors, dusting the shelves and counters, and of course- spending time with all of the animals!
"The humane society project was very successful this year," said Miss Moburg. "We had a lot of student volunteers helping out, and everyone had a blast playing with the animals!"
Thank you for making Lansing a better place, Samantha and all the KAYS volunteers!
