Senior Liam Neidig explains new 3-D printer for LHS Advanced Studies classroom purchased through LEF grant (VIDEO)
The advanced studies classroom at Lansing High School received a new 3-D printer this school year, thanks to a grant by Lansing Educational Foundation. LHS senior, Liam Neidig, has been in enrolled in an advanced studies course with Mrs. Julie Hinckley the past two years and has used his time in that classroom to learn about and work on 3-D printing. Last year's printer had become obsolete, so Mrs. Hinckley wrote a grant to the Lansing Educational Foundation in hopes of obtaining a new printer for her students to learn from.
"Having access to the most current technology is essential to fostering engagement and encouraging students to design and build solutions to problem-solve real world issues," said Mrs. Hinckley.
Thank you, Lansing Educational Foundation and great work, Liam!
