Elementary students learn about math and science through cranberry experiments
Second grade students in Mrs. Barb Robinson's class had a blast on November 21st working on math and science experiments using cranberries. Each student created a "cranny" out of string and cranberries and used their "cranny" as a measuring device at different stations set up in the classroom.
"They went to stations of math and science weighing mass, measuring cranberries with a bounce test (are they fresh?), and comparing and contrasting cranberry foods when graphing results," said Mrs. Robinson. "It was fun!"
