Third Grade Class tackles State Testing with a positive attitude!
Third grade students conquered their first year of state testing this month, thanks to the help of Lansing Elementary School staff and students. To reduce anxiety and make their first state testing experience a positive one, the third grade teachers provided breakfast, allowed for "brain breaks", and created fun shirts to wear. Parents and other grade levels wrote encouraging notes to the test takers, which were delivered before the test to boost morale. They also implemented a "I believe we will succeed" chant, led by third grade teacher, Mrs. Laurie Holden. Once testing was over, the class received reward treats to celebrate their success.
There is no doubt third grade rocked their first year of state testing, thanks to years of hard work and the support of Lansing Elementary School staff, students, and parents!
