To ensure we can provide the best support, please submit your request for an interpreter at least two weeks in advance. This advance notice allows us to arrange for a qualified interpreter who can meet your needs effectively, whether for spoken language interpretation, ASL, or document translation.

Understanding the Difference: Translating vs. Interpreting

It's important to note the distinction between translating and interpreting:

• Translating refers to converting written text from one language to another. This process is used for documents, written communications, and other textual materials.

• Interpreting involves converting spoken or signed language in real-time. This is used during meetings, conferences, and verbal or sign language communications to facilitate immediate understanding between parties speaking different languages or using different modes of communication.
