Facilities Department

Custodial

Our Lansing USD 469 custodians work hard on a daily basis to keep our educational facilities clean, looking nice, and safe for our students and staff. Our custodians handle the day-to-day tasks of scrubbing tables / desktops, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash cans, washing windows, sanitizing washrooms in our facilities (approximately 850,000 square feet). Besides aesthetics, they contribute to keeping pests away and reducing the spread of germs.

Our custodians also assist in the set up of many school functions and for many non-school groups requesting to use the school facilities.  The custodians work during these functions to clean and fulfill the requests of the groups and teams.

We have approximately thirty custodians as part of the Lansing USD 469, and they do an impeccable job of creating a good first impression to our building visitors.
