EXPECTATIONS AND POLICIES FOR ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY
MRS. SCHWINN


1. LEARN
* GRADING will be based on total points each quarter and the school-wide grading scale.
- APPROXIMATELY 50% of your total grade will be based on tests, 35% on
quizzes and projects, and 15% on homework, daily completion grades and
participation.
- There will be a 6-week unit prior to Spring Break in which all students will
participate with a partner in the dissection of an adult cat
- Extra credit opportunities will be available throughout the semester ONLY as
part of major tests and quizzes.
REMEMBER: Grades are earned, not given.

2. BE HERE
A. BE ON TIME to class with ALL necessary MATERIALS.
- Any student not in the classroom once the tardy bell has rung will be counted
T ardy AND will result in a DETENTION based on 15 minutes for each accumulated tardy per semester. On the fourth accumulated tardy, the student will be referred to the office and the parents will be contacted.
B. DO NOT LEAVE the room without permission and a signed agenda pass.
C. LATE WORK is any assignment not WITH THE STUDENT in the classroom when the tardy bell rings & ready to be handed in upon request of the teacher the day it is due
ONLY PARTIAL CREDIT WILL BE GIVEN FOR LATE WORK.
D. Seating will be assigned.

3. BE RESPECTFUL
GENERAL RULE FOR CONDUCT: Common Sense & Common Courtesy
To include:
- Respect the body and property of others
- Do not talk while others “have the floor”
- Do not disfigure school or other's property
- Do not throw anything
- Sit only in a classroom chair NOT on tables or counters
- Dress appropriately!!!
- NO CELL PHONE USAGE during class
** Never interfere with the right of any teacher to teach or the right of other students to learn.

4. BE RESPONSIBLE
* MAKE-UP WORK:
- Full credit will be given for authorized absences completed within the time-
frame established by school policy.
- Unauthorized absences result in NO CREDIT, except tests, in which case an
ALTERNATE TEST will be administered.
- Make arrangements with Mrs. Schwinn before or after school on the day you
return from being absent to receive makeup work.

** REASONABLE AND INFREQUENT SITUATIONS & REQUESTS WILL BE CONSIDERED.
