Rules and Policies
CLASSROOM RULES AND POLICIES ARE DESIGNED TO ENHANCE OUR WORKING RELATIONSHIP IN A PRODUCTIVE ENVIRONMENT. A SUCCESSFUL YEAR/SEMESTER IS TO BE OUR MAIN GOAL.
You must be in your assigned seat, silent and working on the warm-up that will be displayed when the class bell rings.
If you are TARDY, this will cause a disruption for the entire class. The first tardy will result in a warning; every tardy thereafter will result in a detention (building in 15 minute increments after each offense). For the fourth tardy and each tardy thereafter, you will be referred to the office.
Be prepared for class daily with all materials—book, notebook, agenda, folder, pen and pencil and other necessary items. Assignment deadlines must be met.
At the end of class, students will not leave the classroom until they are dismissed by the teacher and their chair is pushed in.
All school rules must be followed or appropriate consequences will be given.
If you have been absent from class, the student is responsible retrieving their make up work from the teacher. A admit slip must be presented to the teacher before work will be given. Two days are given to turn in missed assignments due to excused absences.
If a pre-arranged absence sheet is requested from the office; the student and teacher will discuss when make up work is due.
The “Acceptable Use Policy for Computers” MUST be signed by parent and student before students are allowed on school computers. The user policy must be followed or severe consequences may occur.
Cell phone/IPOD/MP3 use in school is allowed only during certain hours. Cell phones must be OFF, not on vibrate or silent, when the student walks into the classroom. Failure to follow this rule will result in the student’s phone being turned into the vice principal. IPOD/MP3 us is the discretion of each teacher. If the policy is not followed, the electronic device will be turned over to the vice principal.
Personal property is the responsibility of the student. If the student is worried about losing the property, leave the property in their locker or at home.
Water bottles are allowed, AS LONG AS, the water bottles are not left in the classroom.
No food is allowed in computer labs.
All rules are subject to change upon the teacher’s discretion.
