Welcome to the LHS Assistant Principal's website!
As I am new to the district this year, I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself and tell you a bit about me.
My name is Mike Barbo and I come to LHS from Oskaloosa where I was the 7-12 AP/AD. I started my career in education in 1978 after graduating from Bethany College in Lindsborg, KS. I received my Masters' Degree in Educational Administration and Building Leadership from Ft. Hays State University.
I believe that there are 5 keys to student success in school:
1) Be here. It is tough to keep up if you miss class.
2) Be on time. Missing even part of a class can be detrimental.
3) Be prepared. Have your mind ready for each day as well as your homework and supplies.
4) Don't interfere with the teachers' right to teach. Don't disrupt class.
5) Don't interfere with others' right to learn. Treat others with respect.
