Welcome to the world of the Lansing High School English Department! I have been teaching at Lansing for 30 years. (That's right.) My undergraduate degree is from the University of St. Mary (St. Mary College) and my master's degree is from Baker University. In my humble opinion, we have the best students in the state of Kansas. My teaching philosophy is that it is my responsibility to see that students will be successful in high school and in their future. My classroom rules are strict and I apply them very consistently. Students always know my expectations.I tell my kids that I don't like surprises and I don't think they do either. I also tell them that I want each and every one of them to be multi-multi-billionaires so that they can earn vast sums of money and keep social security alive for my "eventual" old age. Give me a call if you have a question or email me just to say hello. The kids know I really like to get to know their parents. Afterall parents and teachers both want the best for the students and our good communication can help them a lot.
